Queen Camilla’s iconic blue bracelet has touching meaning

Queen Camilla is famed for her impressive wrist candy, and there are some bracelets she turns to time and again. One of the most recognisable bracelets Camilla wears is a blue design, and she has worn it on several occasions since the Queen died and her husband Charles became King on September 8.

Camilla’s blue bracelet appears to be the Vintage Alhambra bracelet by renowned jeweller, Van Cleef & Arpels.

Camilla’s blue bracelet has a four-leaf clover design, a floral motif that primarily symbolises good luck, so the Queen Consort may have opted for this bracelet in tribute to the start of her husband’s reign.

Four-leaf clovers also symbolise faith, love and hope, fitting symbols for the Royal Family during this difficult time of grieving.

With five motifs the bracelet retails for £3,950, but different styles are also available.

Other jewels Camilla has turned to are pearls, a touching tribute to the late monarch who was rarely pictured without a lustrous pearl necklace.

Camilla has worn a four-strand pearl necklace with a central emblem, along with pearl earrings, in recent days.

Pearls are considered mourning jewellery in the Royal Family, and since the Victorian era, they have been worn for royal funerals.

The gems are thought to be symbolic of tears, and the Princess of Wales and Duchess of Sussex have also opted for pearl jewellery during the mourning period.

Camilla also always wears her engagement ring from King Charles, an Art Deco-inspired diamond sparkler.

Comprised of emerald-cut diamond baguettes, Camilla’s ring once belonged to Charles’ beloved late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother.

Jon White, Director of precious metals buyer www.gold-traders.co.uk, said: “Camilla’s engagement ring is a really eye-catching Art Deco design, featuring a five-carat emerald-cut diamond with three baguettes on the side.”

“Charles was close to the Queen Mother so choosing an engagement ring from her collection is certainly a very heartfelt gesture and sign of his love,” he added.
