Quantum Break Is Back On Game Pass And Digital Storefronts
Remedy Entertainment’s Quantum Break is now back on digital storefronts and Game Pass. This comes after it was momentarily removed from these digital platforms due to licensing issues.
Earlier this month, Xbox Games Marketing VP Aaron Greenberg said, “Don’t worry Quantum Break will be coming back to Game Pass. It is being temporarily removed due to some licenses that expired that were in the process of being renewed. Will let you know as soon as it is back.”
Now, it looks like the licensing issues have been resolved and the game is once again available on the Microsoft Store, Steam, and Game Pass. One of Quantum Break’s characters, Martin Hatch, was played via live-action and performance-capture by the late Lance Reddick–he passed away in March.
It was a strange instance given that Quantum Break is an Xbox and PC exclusive and Microsoft would be losing the game on its own subscription service. However, this isn’t the first case of such a thing happening. Sony is removing Insomniac’s PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man from PlayStation Plus Extra next month.
In GameSpot’s Quantum Break review, we said, “Getting to the end of Quantum Break can be an interesting ride at times, but no matter how impressive the combat is, or how great the game looks, there’s no getting around the fact that it’s driven by a story with limited appeal and hindered by disappointing design decisions.”
