Quadruplet New Jersey brothers open Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop

A family that slices together, stays together.

Quadruplet brothers from New Jersey opened a Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop last week after starting with the company when they were all in high school, according to NJBiz.com.

The Ballard boys — 25-year-old Erich, Sam, Tom and Nick — are all equal owners of the location in Hainesport, according to NJ.com. Eric is the oldest “by one minute,” he told the outlet.

Sam, Tom and Nick started working at the shop in their hometown of Middletown in 2012, and Erich followed suit two years later.

They have two other siblings, who are also connected to the sandwich business.

Brother Patrick currently helps out at their store, while older sister, Nichole, was the first to work at the Middletown shop back in 2005.

“When we started, it was (pour) drinks, take the trash out, open meats,” Sam told NJ.com. “We couldn’t slice tomatoes because we weren’t old enough to slice. When we turned 18, Nichole taught us how to slice.”

Even in their teenage years, the quads dreamt of opening a store with each other, and their vision became “serious” during the COVID-19 pandemic. They started working with the company’s corporate office to open the Hainesport store, which previously was a frozen yogurt shop and Subway.

In the first five days, their store sold approximately 5,000 subs and 300 cheesesteaks.

“The volume exceeded our expectations,” Erich said.
