As the unboxing continues, we begin to see features such as the PSVR2 instruction manual, a USB cable for charging the controllers, stereo headphones that connect to the headset, and other accessories.
The video then explains how the PSVR 2 can be set up. The headset comes with a USB-C cable which you can plug into the front of the PlayStation 5 console. It’s highlighted that the setup for the new headset is much easier and quicker in comparison to the original PlayStation VR. Thus, you can be part of the VR world sooner.
The unboxing video also explains a few things regarding optimal comfort during gameplay. First, the headset has a headband adjustment dial which can be used to comfortably put the headset on. Once you are done playing the game, you can use the headband release button, which is located behind the headband, to comfortably take off your PSVR 2 headset.
The video also shows off how to adjust the position of the headset, so it suits your face through the scope buttons as well as a lens adjustment dial that allows for the distance between the lenses to be widened or shortened. We also get an insight into how the headphones are meant to be installed onto the PSVR 2 headset, and the presentation concludes with a physical demonstration of how to put the headset on.
PlayStation VR2 launches on February 22 at a price of $550. Sony also revealed that the new headset will have a launch lineup of over 35 games.
