Patiala:Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRS-PTU), Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu on Monday said that Punjab State Aeronautical Engineering College (PSAEC) Patiala provides a golden opportunity to secure jobs in the aviation industry, a fastest growing industry in the world. He said the number of job opportunities in the field of Civil Aviation have increased manifold during the last couple of years.
The VC who was here in PSAEC at Patiala on Monday, said “PSAEC was providing a boost to the Civil Aviation Industry in the state. Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering scope in India is growing at a rapid pace as the Aviation sector is growing at 200 percent. India is the third-largest civil aviation marketplace in the world, having the potential to be in the first place. The demand for the Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineers is increasing and lots of job options are available in government and the private sectors in India.”
Sidhu said major job opportunities are available in Air Force, Airlines, Corporate Research Companies, Helicopter Companies, Defense Ministry, Aviation Companies, NASA, Flying clubs, Aeronautical Laboratories, Aircraft manufacturers, government owned air services and many others. PSAEC, a premier institute in the country is a constituent College of MRS-PTU offering courses like B.Tech in Aeronautical”
Meanwhile MRS-PTU, Bathinda has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Friends Union for Energizing Lives (FUEL), Pune to provide skilling support to the youth to enhance their employability and to provide placement opportunities in Multi National Companies (MNC’s) associated with FUEL.
