PS5 UK restock: Argos PlayStation 5 stock date revealed – GAME and Amazon latest
PS5 stock is arriving back in the UK this week, with Argos linked to a new PlayStation restock, which could include thousands of consoles.
This follows news from Currys and EE, which have both shared ways of pre-ordering consoles during October.
New Currys VIP codes have been sent out, and this will allow gamers looking to buy a new console the chance to head into a store and start the process.
You’re unlikely to walk away with a console on the day you go in, but you will get a space in the queue, which is much better than scrambling around online.
For everyone else waiting for a digital drop, Argos is expected to be the next major UK retailer to host a PS5 restock.
From what has been shared so far, the next PS5 restock will happen on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
We don’t how many consoles will be available for purchase, but Argos usually deals in large numbers.
These units will be split between regional hubs, and that means having to keep an eye on your local Argos store site.
The retailer can also offer restocks in-store, but there are much less predictable and are not guaranteed.
Argos restocks can start at around 3am BST and last until 10am BST, due to the regional format.
The news was shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.
The latest message posted on Twitter by PS5 Stock UK reads: “A few warehouses have received shipments of PS5’s, both Disc & Digital Editions, with the remaining warehouses expected to receive shipments by the end of this week. Sales to the public are expected around 20th October.”
As mentioned above, this remains a prediction, meaning that the dates and times could change to later in October, depending on the internal plans of Argos.
Both GAME and Amazon are expected to offer more PS5 stock in October, but no dates, times, or predictions have been made regarding when this will happen.
Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. The next PS5 restock is expected to happen on October 20.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase.
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.
