Priyanka Chopra Jonas stands in solidarity with the SAG-AFTRA strike

Priyanka Chopra was currently all busy with the shooting of her upcoming Hollywood film Heads of State alongside Idris Alba and John Cena. But the project has now been halted due in support of the ongoing SAG AFTRA strike.

On Thursday midnight,  the Screen Actors Guild, which represents approximately 160,000 performers, announced a strike due to the inability to come to a new labour agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers.

On Friday, Priyanka took to her Instagram and showed her support in regard to the SAG-AFTRA strike. She wrote, “I stand with my union and colleagues. In solidarity, we build a better tomorrow. #SagAftraStrong #SagAftraStrike,” and shared a picture that read, “SAG AFTRA STRONG”.


With this post, the actress has verified her involvement in the movement and announced that she will not film any of her future projects anywhere in the world until the strike concludes.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka will be reprising her role of Nadia Sinh in Citadel season 2 which will roll out next year. Meanwhile, in Bollywood, Priyanka was supposed to be part of Jee Le Zaara but has walked out of the project citing date issues, after it was delayed multiple times.
