Princess Kate wearing pink at royal wedding is ‘no coincidence’, claims expert
Princess Kate donned a pale pink dress to attend the royal wedding in Jordan and fashion and royal expert Miranda Holder exclusively talked to Express.co.uk about the meaning behind the colour.
For Rajwa Al Saif and Prince Al-Hussein’s wedding, Kate chose a romantic Elie Saab gown and paired it with a large pair of teardrop-shaped earrings and a gold clutch bag.
Miranda commented that “whether she was inspired by the movie-inspired Barbiecore trend or she just loves the colour,” Kate’s choice was “very unusual”.
“Kate wore pink for the third time in the last week or so, which is an unusual move for the Princess,” the royal expert suggested.
She added: “A wedding of course is the celebration of love, making pink the perfect colour to continue this theme, but it is indeed intriguing that the Princess has worn this colour three times in a row.”

“We know enough about the inner workings of the royal wardrobes to understand that this is no coincidence, so perhaps the Palace is wanting to position Kate as a softer, gentle Princess for the rest of this year.
“Perhaps in anticipation of a new role within the Firm,” the royal expert suggested.
Kate looked stunning in the pink dress but despite being a very pretty shade, it may “not actually be her best colour,” Miranda opined.
However, pink evokes “romance, kindness and femininity,” making it the perfect choice for a wedding.
“Despite this not being Kate’s best colour, the Princess was a very glamorous figure in Jordan earlier today.
“Her appropriately modest Elie Saab gown with high neck, flared cuffs and beautiful embroidery and ruching detailing on the bodice looked sophisticated without being ostentatious,” the expert commented.
She explained that the Princess’ preference for this hue “also coincides with her return to a floatier, more feminine silhouette since the Coronation”.
This “feels very different in tone to the power suit-wearing business-like Kate we witnessed at the beginning of the year,” the royal expert added.
Rajwa Al Saif and Prince Al-Hussein of Jordan got married at Zahran Palace, in Jordan.
