Princess Eugenie wears £2,359 black and white dress at Big Lunch event
Thousands of people across the country are expected to have attended the community lunches, ‘in a nationwide act of celebration and friendship,’ according to a Palace spokesperson.
The somewhat grey weather did not deter crowds in Windsor and King Charles’ nieces brightened proceedings with their outfits.
Beatrice opted for a blue Alexander McQueen blazer, white t-shirt and a blue and white floral Cara Cara skirt for today’s appearance, while her sister Eugenie, who is pregnant with her second child, is wearing a black and white dress by Gabriela Hearst.
Eugenie’s Luz wool crêpe midi dress is still available for any interested parties to buy, but it’ll set you back £2,359 if you get it from My Theresa.
Meanwhile, you can get Beatrice’s Georgica skirt for £639 from Farfetch.
The sisters did not have an official role in the Coronation ceremony yesterday, but they were seen happily chatting to Prince Harry, who sat with them in Westminster Abbey, some noticeable distance from his immediate family members.
Coronation of King Charles III latest
The historic Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla took place in Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6 – with celebrations continuing into the bank holiday Monday.

For the big occasion, Beatrice wore a raspberry pink dress with puffed sleeves by Beulah London, styled with a contrasting gold headband. Meanwhile, Eugenie was dressed head to toe in bespoke Fendi, wearing an elegant navy dress with a matching round hat, long coat, and navy sandals.
The Big Lunch celebrations will be left to more junior members of the royal family to oversee, with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attending a lunch in Cranleigh, Surrey.
But earlier today, the King and Queen did send a message for those attending via their official Instagram page: ‘Whether this is your first ever Big Lunch or whether it is an annual part of your local calendar, we send our warmest good wishes to each one of you, and all those who will be with you, at what we hope will be a truly enjoyable event for everyone.’
There are a lot of big hats (and crowns, of course).
