Prince George ‘confused and annoyed’ by unusual activity at his London school

It’s the first week back a school for many children this week – including the royal grandchildren Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s two eldest children attend the private Thomas’s School in Battersea, South London, reports the Mirror.

Their eldest Prince George, who enrolled at the school in 2017, is now well into Year 4 at the prestigious school.

And while it seems the young prince enjoys his lessons, one school activity he took part in sadly left him “confused and annoyed”.

Dad Prince William revealed his son ended up frustrated about the state of the planet after carrying out litter picking sessions at school.

Speaking to a BBC podcast last year, William divulged: “So George at school recently has been doing litter picking.

The Duke of Cambridge went on: “I didn’t realise but talking to him the other day he was already showing that he was getting a bit confused and a bit sort of annoyed by the fact they went out litter picking one day.

“And then the very next day they did the same route, same time and pretty much all the same litter they picked up back again.”

William added: “I think that for him he was trying to understand how and where it all came from.

“He couldn’t understand, he’s like, ‘well, we cleaned this. Why has it not gone away?’”

William has been very vocal in the past 12 months about turning the tide on climate change and environmental problems.

He has previously expressed his concern that George and his generation might still be talking about climate change in decades to come.

William added: “But it shouldn’t be that there’s a third-generation now coming along having to ramp it up even more.

“And you know, for me, it would be an absolute disaster if George is sat here talking to you or your successor, you know in like 30 years time, whatever, still saying the same thing, because by then we will be too late.”

It is thought that George and Charlotte’s younger brother Prince Louis will join them at the same school in September after he turns four in April.

As part of William and Kate’s wishes to give them as normal an upbringing as possible, as soon as they walk through the school gates their kids are treated like any other child.

And this means they must do what teachers tell them and follow the school’s most important rule – just like everyone else.

Its website states: “As you would expect of any Thomas’s school, the most important school rule is ‘Be Kind’.”
