Prince Charles is ‘complete workaholic’, wife Camilla admits to Geri Halliwell in new clip

The Duchess of Cornwall, 74, spoke privately to Geri Halliwell, 49, calling the future king a “complete workaholic”, during a friendly chat yesterday. In a video shared by the Daily Mail‘s Rebecca English, Camilla could be seen catching up with the Spice Girls star during a reception she was hosting for winners of the Queen Elizabeth’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021.

After a friendly hug and a kiss on the cheek, the women exchanged quiet pleasantries, with Camilla confiding that her husband, 72, is keeping busier than ever.

But for the singer, actress and author formerly known as Ginger Spice, that is a good idea.

“I read this book,” said Geri.

“And they say the key to living a long life is carry on working — don’t retire, that’s the key.”

Geri and Prince Charles had a famous meeting back in 1997 at a charity gala when she grabbed his bum.

Speaking on their unique friendship back in 2018, the singer said: “He’s part of our heritage. We consider him a Spice Boy.

“I feel like Prince Charles his royal highness is part of the landscape of the Spice Girls and our journey. He was there from the beginning.

“To see him just grow and shine, our future king, I just think it’s brilliant what he does and I really admire him as a representation of our country.”

“Seeing the incredible solutions that have been developed by the first winners of the Prize — and all of our finalists — shows us that the answers are out there,” he continued.

“By recognising these efforts and supporting and scaling them to be the best they can be, we can inspire the confidence that a healthier, more sustainable future is within our grasp.”

The two future kings and their wives were initially supposed to be joined by the Queen, 95, but Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday that she was advised by doctors not to attend the environmental summit.

“Following advice to rest, the Queen has been undertaking light duties at Windsor Castle.

“Her Majesty has regretfully decided that she will no longer travel to Glasgow to attend the Evening Reception of COP26 on Monday, 1st November,” read the statement.

The statement continued: “Her Majesty is disappointed not to attend the Reception but will deliver an address to the assembled delegates via a recorded video message.”

The Queen had tests performed last week during her first overnight stay at the private King Edward VII’s Hospital in London in eight years, after she dramatically cancelled a two-day trip to Northern Ireland.

Aides insisted the tests were purely “precautionary”. She has since returned to work at Windsor Castle, where she has been resting on doctor’s orders and was seen in a video link Tuesday.
