Prince Charles’ 19th-Century relative who was King looks astonishingly similar

The Royal Family are incredibly proud of their family history, and rightly so, with the line of succession able to be traced back hundreds and hundreds of years.

Current Royal Family members can track their ancestral history all the way back to King Alfred the Great, who lived over 1,200 years.

The Royal Family tree is also littered with an abundance of incredible historical characters which no doubt leads to some facinating discussions over dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The future King Prince Charles also has an astonishing likeness to his great-great-grandfather who was born in the 1800s.

Albert Edward was born in 1841 and was the eldest son of one of Britain’s most well known monarchs Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert.

Albert Edward had to wait over 60 years before he eventually came King Edward VII when his mother died January 22, 1901 and his reign was relatively short lasting when he passed away in 1910.

If you believed in reincarnation you would be forgiven for thinking Edward VII has been reborn as Prince Charles, the Duke of Cornwall.

Though the two men who are separated by several generations they had an astonishing likeness.
