Premier League announce four new fixture changes after Covid postponements

THE PREMIER LEAGUE has confirmed four fixture changes following a number of COVID-19 postponements.

A total of 22 Prem matches have so far been moved because of coronavirus-related absentees, although four of those have since been played on a different date.

Top-flight officials have now confirmed that three rescheduled matches are finally set to take place on February 23.

Burnley will host Tottenham at Turf Moor and Watford will take on Crystal Palace at Vicarage Road at 7.30pm.

Liverpool will battle Leeds at Anfield and that encounter is scheduled for 7.45pm.

And a fourth one will take place the next day on February 24 when Arsenal and Wolves do battle at the Emirates at 7.45pm.

Burnley’s clash with Tottenham was expected to happen on November 28, whereas Watford was going to host Crystal Palace on December 18.

Liverpool and Leeds’ match was going to take place on Boxing Day, whereas Arsenal and Wolves were going to play on December 28.

This comes after Premier League clubs have agreed new COVID rules to clarify when matches can be postponed.

The 20 top-flight clubs backed Prem proposals to demand at least four positive cases of the virus for a postponement request to be accepted.
