Pregnant Pixie Lott in handcuffs while filming ITV drama weeks after baby news
In new pictures that have emerged from the set of the upcoming season of detective show McDonald & Dodds, the musician was photographed wearing a floaty white ensemble while having handcuffs placed on her risks.
With her blonde hair cascading down her face, the 32-year-old gave a disgruntled look to camera as an actor playing a police officer stood by her side.
In more photos, Pixie was surrounded by members of the crew on the production, with the cameras on what looked like an extremely sunny day in Bristol.
As the scene unfolds, the performer’s character is bundled into a police officer, in circumstances that we’ll have to wait to uncover when the series airs.
Esteemed actor Jason Watkins was also seen on set, having played the titular role of DS Dodds since the series first premiered in 2020.
While Pixie is best-known for her music, with chart-topping hits including Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) and Boys and Girls, she has boasted some acting roles in her career as well.
In 2016, she starred as Holly Golightly in a limited 12-week season of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s West End.
The Voice Kids judge also appeared in an episode of Inspector George Gently in 2014, as well as playing herself in an episode of Sadie J.
In June this year, Pixie announced that she and her husband Oliver Cheshire were expecting their first baby, a year after their wedding.
Sharing pictures of her sonogram and her baby bump, she wrote: ‘We are beyond excited to announce we are expecting our first child together and cannot wait to start a family of our own ❤️.’
The series McDonald & Dodds has had three seasons so far, airing from 2020 to2022, with a fourth series in the pipeline.
Tala Gouveia stars opposite Jason as the other titular character, DCI Lauren McDonald.
Despite being mismatched, the two police officers are forced to pair up and work together in the city of Bath.
While McDonald has come to the city from London, and is used to seeing action on the streets, Dodds has had far less tumultuous experience in the past decade.
