Porn star Julia Ann is taking the “men” out of menopause.
After working for 30 years in the adult film industry, Ann is revealing why she refuses to work with men and will only film with women.
Ann explained that she made the decision shortly before marrying her husband, who isn’t a porn star — but that isn’t the reason for the surplus of ladies-only scenes.
Instead, it has everything to do with how the 53-year-old’s body has changed as she approaches menopause.
“As a woman who was getting older and one who hates the gym, I was finding that I couldn’t control where my fat was going in a scene with guys,” Ann explained during a recent appearance on Holly Randall’s “Unfiltered” podcast.
She explained that it’s easier to move her body when she’s with a woman versus when she’s with a man.
The star has also become more conscious about how she looks on camera and thinks that it’s better to film with girls in order to conceal certain parts of herself.
“When I have sex with a girl, I can position myself, I can work it a certain way, I can be a little bit more, ‘Oh, how you doing today,’” she said.
“But when a guy’s behind you, it’s just [doink doink doink] and stuff is just happening and I can feel it happening,” she said.
She also added that after menopause, your body changes and “moves separate from itself.”
Ann has been working in the porn scene since 1992.
Her first appearance was in the Andrew Blake-directed film “Hidden Obsessions,” which was about a woman who wrote erotic novels and began to live her life like the characters in her books.
Since then, she has gone on to star in countless adult films and has even won multiple awards for her work, including one in 2020 for “Hottest MILF” in the Adult Video News Awards.
But Ann might just be on to something here with her refusal to work with men: In 2016, data released by Pornhub and Vocativ revealed that Americans loved to watch videos of lesbians having sex.
“‘Lesbian’ searches carpet much of the West, Midwest and East Coast, making it the top-ranking term in more states than any other,” Pornhub stated at the time.
They also revealed that “stepmom” was the most popular search term in Alaska, Kentucky, Washington and New Hampshire.
