Police want to speak to this man after a dog mauled a woman in a pub beer garden

Police want to trace this man following a fight in a pub beer garden which ended with a woman being mauled by a dog.

When fighting broke out at Boundary Stone pub in Salford, a man retrieved an Alsatian from his van and took the animal into a crowd of people, according to police.

But the dog, said to be under the control of its owner, bit a woman who has now undergone surgery for serious injuries to her arm.

Now Greater Manchester Police have released an image of a man they are seeking in connection with the incident.

The incident happened after fighting broke out in the beer garden of the Boundary Stone in the Ellenbrook area of Salford, close to Worsley, on January 15.

In an appeal posted on its GMP Salford Facebook page, the force said: “Police are appealing for the public’s help to try an identify a male involved in a incident On Saturday 15th January 2022.

“An incident occurred at the Boundary Stone Pub. A fight had broke out in the beer garden.

“A male has been seen on CCTV go to his van and got his Alsatian out and brought it in to the crowd of people.

“Within this crowd, a female who wasn’t involved in the incident has been caught up in it and has been bitten by the dog.
