Police release image of man they’d like to speak to after sex attack on girl
Police have released an image of a man they want to speak with after a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in a town centre alleyway. Greater Manchester Police said the image was used on a social media account that was contacting the victim before the incident.
The force said they believe the man ‘could hold important information’ and urged him, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward. Detectives in Rochdale have launched an investigation and issued an appeal.
The incident dates to last summer, but the force said so far, no one has been arrested. Police said a man took the girl down an alleyway in Rochdale town centre and sexually assaulted her.

“The victim was able to force the offender off of her before running away from him. A wide-range of follow-up enquiries have been made as part of our investigation but so far we have been unable to arrest a suspect in relation to this attack.
“We have obtained an image of a man – used on a social media account that was contacting the victim before the incident – as we believe he could hold important information.”
