Poco F5: Confirmed specifications
Poco F5 will come with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. The Snapdragon India handle on Twitter confirmed that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 will power the Poco F5.
According to the company, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is the most powerful Snapdragon 7-series chipset. It is based on the 4nm process node of TSMC, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, the 7+ Gen 2 is said to offer 50 per cent higher performance, 13 per cent improvement in power efficiency, and double the AI performance of its predecessor – the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Additionally, the chipset will enable support for WiFi 6E on the smartphone.
Poco F5: Expected specifications
Since the Poco F5 could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo launched in China last month.
Poco F5 is said to feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The OLED panel on Redmi Note 12 Turbo features 1000 nits of peak brightness, Dolby Vision support, PWM dimming and DCI-P3 colour gamut. Therefore, we can expect the same on the upcoming Poco F5.
As confirmed earlier by the company, Poco F5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset and might come with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and offer up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage Further, the F5 could be backed by a 5000mAH battery with 67W fast charging support.
