PM Modi to address webinar on implementation of Union Budget 2023 in skill and education – Times of India
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will set the agenda for harnessing youth power through skilling and education in his inaugural address at the webinar on implementation of Union Budget 2023 in skill and education on Saturday. Who’s who of industry, skilling and education sector are going to brainstorm on six themes based on the key initiatives announced during the budget, which include Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna 4.0, Skill India International Centres, National Digital Library and Teacher’s training, among others. There will be six breakout sessions to deliberate on action plan, strategy, timelines and complete deliverables which will be presented in the webinar in the form of presentations.
According to a senior official with the ministry of education, “The PM will unveil his ideas and the aspects that will come into play in rolling out the schemes. This would be one of the largest and inclusive consultations to take place on Budget outlines.”
The stakeholders’ participation includes education, skill development and external affairs ministries, subject experts, representatives from s State education and skill departments, industry bodies like FICCI, CII and NASSCOM, university faculties and students, and skill development bodies and councils.
While the breakout session on PMKVY 4.0 will deliberate on technology enabled skilling and skilling in new age courses as well as cross-utilisation of resources and infrastructure, the breakout session on Skill India International Centres will brainstorm on building capacity for skill-based mobility where Hiroshi Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan to India, Dino Coell, migration specialist, ILO, among others will participate.
Each breakout session will have an interactive session as well, for example in the breakout session for National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents, the participants in the interactive mode are Gaurav Shrinagesh, India CEO, Penguin, Kirti Seth, CEO, IT-ITES Sector Skill Council NASSCOM and Ananth Krishnan, executive vice president and CTO, TCS.
