PM Modi Arrives In UAE; Defence, Energy Security On Agenda

After a memorable France visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in UAE for a day-long visit where he will review the burgeoning bilateral ties between the two strategic partners.
The prime minister is set to hold wide-ranging talks with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, the two countries will take forward bilateral ties in key areas of energy, food security, and defence.
On his arrival at Abu Dhabi airport, the prime minister was received by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

“Landed in Abu Dhabi. I look forward to the deliberations with HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which will further deepen India-UAE cooperation,” tweeted PM Modi.
Energy, food security, and defence could very well be the focus areas when Modi touches down in Abu Dhabi for the day-long visit during which the two strategic partners will review the progress after they inked a landmark trade agreement.
“The India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership has been steadily strengthening and the Prime Minister’s visit will be an opportunity to identify ways to take this forward in various domains such as energy, education, healthcare, food security, fintech, defence and culture,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.
“I look forward to meeting my friend, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” Prime Minister Modi had said in his departure statement at the start of his 2-nation visit.
France Is Important Partner In Make in India Initiative: PM Modi
“Our two countries are engaged across a wide range of sectors such as trade, investments, energy, food security, science and technology, education, fintech, defence, security, and robust people-to-people ties,” he said.
PM Modi’s trip to Abu Dhabi will mark the completion of the triad after a substantive engagement with the leadership of France.
