Piyush Chanduka becomes OJEE 2021 BTech topper – Times of India

BHUBANESWAR: The results of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE-2021) was published here on Wednesday. Piyush Chanduka from Bhubaneswar was the topper for the BTech course.

Skill development and technical education minister Premananda Nayak released the results booklet here on Wednesday evening.

Piyush, a resident of Garage Chhak in Bhubaneswar, has completed his class XII from Kendriya Vidyalaya-6 here. “I am happy that I have secured Rank 1 in the BTech course in the OJEE-2021. I will choose computer science,” he added.

He said his preparation for JEE Main has helped him to achieve this success. Now he is focussing on the JEE Advanced examination to be held on October 3. “Whenever you get time, use it for focussed study. Practicing previous year questions will help,” said Piyush, son of a businessman of Unit-1 market.

Laxmi Priya Senapati, a resident of Bhimatangi in Bhubaneswar, has topped BPharm course. “I was taking coaching for the NEET examination. I have appeared for the NEET examination along with OJEE-2021. I am happy that I topped BPharm course in my first attempt,” said Senapati, who has completed her Class XII from DAV Pokhariput here.

Ashutosh Rath has topped the entrance test for MBA course. Similarly, Pinkinarani Sahoo is the topper of lateral entry (LE) to BTech (diploma), Nishikanta Parida for MCA, K Sanjana Subudhi for M Pharm, Pranab Chandra Bindhani for M Arch, Rudra Prasad Rath for integrated MBA, Biswajit Swain for M Plan and Deepak Sa in LE-Tech (BSc). Besides, 11 candidates topped in different specialisations of M Tech.

This year, 65,763 candidates were registered for the examination. “Of them, 49,360 candidates appeared for the test. As many as 81 candidates did not get any rank in their corresponding courses as per their performance in the examination,” OJEE sources said.

OJEE chairman SK Chand said test centres were set up in all the 30 districts of the state with 57 test centres for the first time. It was conducted in three centres outside Odisha. OJEE was held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for all the courses.

Normally OJEE is conducted in the month of May, but this year the government has delayed the examination because of the Covid-19 situation. It was conducted between September 6 and September 18.
