CBC Studios on Front Street West became a Las Vegas-style black-tie boxing showcase on June 1, as the Pinball Clemons Foundation hosted its sixth annual Victory Gala, presented by Central Ontario Building Trades. This unique fundraiser founded by Chris Amendola featured fully sanctioned charity boxing matches, overseen by the club Girls Just Wanna Box, which found business executives trading their laptops for boxing gloves. Sports commentator Rod Black emceed the event along with DJ 4Korners, the deejay of the Toronto Raptors, and Juno-nominated singer Jully Black entertained the crowd.
