Pierce Brosnan chooses wrong spot for date night as activists swarm restaurant
The former James Bond star, 69, was pictured arriving at Scott’s in Mayfair, London, this evening, which just so happened to have been swarmed by 15 protestors from Animal Rebellion, a group closely linked to Extinction Rebellion.
Demonstrators occupied reserved tables in a bid to call for an end to animal farming and fishing and were seen holding self-made menus explaining the benefits of a plant-based diet.
Looking cool, calm, and collected, Pierce held Keely’s hand as they were seen arriving at the venue.
Dressed in a grey blazer and black trousers, the Hollywood legend made sure to keep cosy with a grey scarf.
Meanwhile, Keely, 59, looked sophisticated in a black coat, low-heeled boots, and a black roll neck.
She completed her outfit with a large black crossbody bag, and clutched onto a green scarf, just in case she needed a little extra warmth.
The pair appeared totally smitten in each other’s company, with Keely wearing a huge smile on her face.
A spokesperson for the London Met told Metro.co.uk that police were called shortly after 7pm after a group of protesters entered the establishment. They were later removed by security and no arrests were made.
A representative for Scott’s added: ‘All of our seafood suppliers adhere to strict government guidelines and all of the fish on our menu is sustainably caught.
‘Our fish is only taken from boats that are licensed to fish their quotas in an ethical way.’
Earlier this week, Pierce celebrated wrapping filming latest movie, Four Letters of Love, with his wife by his side.
Marking the end of the project, he snapped an adorable selfie with his other half in front of Mullaghderg Beach.
Pierce and American journalist and author Keely tied the knot in 2001, after meeting on a beach in Mexico in April 1994.
They wed at Ballintubber Abbey in County Mayo, Ireland, and are parents to two sons, Dylan Thomas Brosnan and Paris Beckett Brosnan.
