Phillip Schofield slams ‘angry’ ex co-stars after ‘toxic bully’ claims
Former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield, 61, has responded to claims from his former colleagues Eamonn Holmesip schofield , 63, and Dr Ranj Singh, 43, about toxicity on the ITV morning show.
He addressed the allegations in an interview with BBC news, denying claims he is a bully.
“I am unaware of any of that [toxicity]. All I see is angry people shouting about a show they aren’t on anymore,” he told journalist Amol Rajan.
Following Phillip’s resignation Dr Ranj, the show’s former resident doctor, insisted there was a “toxic” culture at the flagship ITV daytime show.
He claimed he raised concerns about “bullying and discrimination” two years ago when he worked there and felt he was “managed out” for whistleblowing.

After Dr Ranj spoke out, an ITV Spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “We are sorry to read Dr Ranj’s post today. At ITV we are fully committed to providing every opportunity for anyone who works with us to raise any concern or comments they may have.
“Following a complaint made by Dr Ranj, we appointed an external and independent advisor to carry out a review. This external review found no evidence of bullying or discrimination.”
Eamon Holmes also referenced toxic behaviour in his bombshell interview with GB News this week. Referring to Phillip he said, “the toxicity is you” and also criticised the former presenter’s alleged “controlling, coercive behaviour.”
Addressing the claims, Phillip said: “There is no toxicity, there is no bullying, there is no discrimination at This Morning.”
“The show that I love and the show that I have left I have never seen [any toxicity] from my position or heard it,” he said.
“I have never abused my power anywhere, I’m not a bully,” he stated.
“You read the things you are supposed to be,” he continued, referencing recent reports. “I don’t lord it over TV studios. Everyone is a friend.
“I’ve had texts from people I worked with saying, ‘Oh my God. I can’t believe they are saying this. We love working with you,’” he claimed.
Using an anecdote to prove his point he recalled: “I snapped once at one of the producers around the time I came out and after the meeting I went and apologised.
“It’s not me. I don’t do that. I’m not rude on the studio floor. I don’t lord it around.”
Last week, Phillip released a statement admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague which he claimed is now over.
He released the statement six days after he had resigned from This Morning amid reports of tensions between himself and Holly Willoughby.
In the statement he said that he met the man in question “when he was a teenager,” and wanted help to get onto television.
Phillip said: “It was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than just a friendship.”
