Philippine Zampen Open Water and Atrive Green Summit launched in Dakak

Zamboanga Peninsula’s Open Water Swim circuit under the Department of Tourism Region 9 initiative and Zamboanga Open Water Swim Club is having its culmination in the best pristine island resort in the Region.

Dakak Resort, a prime destination for travelers located in Dapitan City, will soon become a sports tourism hot spot as it hosts the said 2 days event on May 27 to 28 with guests from the leaders of the sports and tourism industry along w International Sports Celebrity Mark Mugen Streigl who will be doing a unique beach wrestling.

While ultimate beach frisbee will be a solid fun beach game with the team Kayumangi headed by Team Captain  Ed Navaro who is also the co-founder of Atrive. Atrive’s mission is to create innovative and sustainable programs to Philippines and Asia that inspire and unite communities and partners through the power of sports with its fist of its kind development strategies and green advocacy initiatives across the region and the world. The teams shall be conducting a beach sports clinic for the kids and a mini tournament having the NCR  Manila team versus the local Zampen teams. Sports tourism photography by the Veteran photojournalist Jun Mendoza will also be one of the highlights of the event where we are anticipating celebrities from Manila will be taking part in it.

With the support of Atrive, a newly formed group from the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. With several local and foreign participants already listed, the event will emphasize that sports tourism is a unifying initiative for people to come together in creating healthier and more vibrant community and future.

Atrive will reinforce a sustainable green sports tourism project across the country with the 7641 green campaign featuring the unexplored Islands of the Philippines being holistically fun and safe haven for tourists. Participants will not only engage in a challenging swim but also discover for themselves the natural wonders of the place.

The Zamboanga Open Water Swim Club president green advocate Japy Silapan along w RD Dara Cataluna of Region 9 , shall share the stage w the international green and sports tourism advocate Elvin Ting founder of trifactor and International affiliate partner of One of A Kind Asia in sharing best practices in the international arena and sports tourism advocacy as He covers 10 counties across southeast Asia. This will strengthen sports tourism across Asia as we support each other’s sports tourism programs.

Dakak Resort is the venue partner for the upcoming National Sports Tourism and Green Advocacy Summit and culmination event of Zampen Open Water Swim Circuit 2023 which is now on its 4th and final leg for athletes and swimmers from all over the regions of the country. This is the vision from Mindanao to elevate it to the international stage towards the end of 2023 and to have participants from all over South Asia.

Dakak Resort is known for its scenic white sand beach, crystal-clear water and natural surroundings. Dakak Resort recognizes the trend toward sustainable green tourism and environmental preservation.
