People are just realizing secret iMessage button upgrades your love life
IMESSAGE users have just been informed of a little-known setting that can provide a major boost to your virtual date night.
iPhones come packed with a number of clever settings that help you better connect with your loved ones.
These apps are especially helpful when you’re far away from one another.
They include revolutionary applications like iMessage, FaceTime, and even Apple Music.
In recent years, Apple has also added SharePlay to its collection of handy features.
WHAT IS SHAREPLAY?
SharePlay is a feature developed by Apple that allows users of its platforms to stream music or video content in sync with others.
When SharePlay first debuted on iOS 15 in June 2021, it mainly focused on users who were connecting over FaceTime.
Now, iOS 16 has added the ability for users to experience SharePlay via iMessage.
SHAREPLAY WITHIN iMESSAGES
Apple said that this was one of the biggest requests from app developers, per CNET.
So now users, for example, could share a movie on Netflix while also chatting in Messages.
To set this up, follow these step-by-step instructions.
First select a show, movie, song, or other content in a supported app that you want to share.
Then tap the item to see its details > tap on SharePlay > in the field, enter the contacts you want to share with,
Once you have done that, tap Messages.
From there, tap Start or Play to begin using SharePlay.
To begin viewing or listening, recipients then need to select the content’s title at the top of the Messages conversation > tap Open.
