APPLE lovers have just been informed of the most popular iPhone color in 2023 – and it’s not what you think.
When Apple first unveiled iPhone in 2007, its most popular colors were white and black.

That has largely remained the case up until the launch of the iPhone 14.
Apple’s latest iPhone model was unveiled to the world in September 2022.
And it quickly made a splash, not just because of its powerful processor and new features, but because of its colors.
The new lineup is available in a stunning array of colors: Starlight, Purple, Midnight, Blue, and Product RED.
And, a report by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) found that Purple currently holds the crown.
“The 2022 reintroduction of Purple, after its brief appearance on iPhone 11 and 12, changed the game,” the report reads.
As of December 2022, 42 percent of iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users own a Purple model, AppleInsider reported.
This is compared to 23 percent for Space Black and Midnight and 11 percent for Starlight and Silver.
Consumers tend to buy gadgets in basic colors like White and Black because as time goes by, they remain in style.
However, thanks to Apple’s marketing push for Purple models, it was a raging success.
“Apple had some insight into the demand for Purple iPhones based on the iPhone 11 and 12/mini experience,” CIRP writes.
“So they either properly anticipated high demand for purple phones, or their optimism about Purple pushed iPhone 14 Pro/Max demand to available purple inventory.”
Tech marketplace Swappa also noted on its website that Purple is the most popular iPhone 14 Pro Max color choice.
“This shade is unique to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and can’t be found on many other devices in the iPhone family,” the website said.
“This coveted color is classy and in demand,” it added.
