Certain iPhone models can use a “fast charge” cable to juice up their device quickly.

In fact, an iPhone can get up to 50 percent battery in just 30 minutes’ time using the cable.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Apple explained the method on its webpage, noting that users do need an iPhone 8 or later for this.

To fast charge, first, you need to make sure you have an Apple USB-C to Lightning cable.

Most Apple products will come with this charging cable when you purchase an item.

You will need to make sure you have one of these adapters: Apple 18W, 20W, 29W, 30W, 35W, 61W, 67W, 87W, 96W, or 140W USB-C Power Adapter.

If you’re using a third-party adapter, you have to ensure that it can support USB Power Delivery (USB-PD).

OTHER TIPS

There are a few other things you can do when your device is on low power, such as enabling Low Power Mode.

This helpful iPhone tool helps to extend battery life when your device is running out of juice.

To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings > Battery > toggle on Low Power Mode.

Another setting you can adjust that causes battery drain is having your screen brightness.

Some experts suggest keeping screen brightness somewhere between 65% and 70% can save you a lot of battery power.

However, you should keep your brightness as low as your eyes can comfortably handle.

To change brightness levels, simply slide your fingers from the top right down on your home screen.

Once you do that, you should see the brightness slider – adjust as you wish.
