That’s because Apple packs its smartphones with plenty of helpful features that are meant to make your life easier.

Below, we have shared four such handy tricks that iPhones can pull off that you likely didn’t know about.

TRANSLATION TRICK

Did you know that your iPhone can translate conversations into another language in real-time?

This is an absolute game changer for those who travel often for work or leisure.

To use this function, open the Translate app on your iPhone – it should be preinstalled.

Hit the arrows next to the two languages to select the languages you want to translate between.

Select one of the languages and either start typing or use the microphone to speak.

To switch the input language, tap the other language. Both languages should display what you say or type on your phone.

REAL-TIME CAPTIONS

Many iPhone users are unaware that they can get real-time captions on video chats, calls, and music.

This can come in handy if you’re in a quiet place and don’t want to disturb others.

To use this tool, go to Settings > Accessibility > Subtitles & Captioning.

From there, toggle Closed Captions & SDH to on and you should be good to go.

FLIGHT TRACKER

Entering flight numbers and airliners into Google to obtain flight information is becoming a thing of the past for iPhone users.

All users have to do is enter their airline and flight numbers into a text message.

For example, if you type “American Airlines flight 118,” you can view information like departure time, arrival time, and time left on the flight

You can also use the airlines’ two-letter abbreviation code in a variety of ways as well (such as AA 118, or AA118), and they will work all the same.

HEARING AID

iPhone has a tool called Live Listen for people with hearing issues.

The tool works with a pair of AirPods or Powerbeats Pro wireless and can help people listen better up to a range of 50 feet.

Place your iPhone in front of what you want to hear.
