People are just noticing hidden Google trick on that millions have missed
SEARCHING for stuff on your phone has never been easier thanks to a Google hack revealed on TikTok.
If you’re fed up with traditional tap typing words out, there’s actually another way.
Instead, Google has a special way that allows you to write out what you want to search by sliding your finger.
The world’s most popular search engine will then key in the words and letters for you.
You can only use it when on Google’s Search site.
Google’s full description for it reads: “You can write your search terms with your finger instead of typing the words on the keyboard.
“As you write, your handwritten text converts into words in the search box.”
TikTok tech fan Milad revealed the easy trick to his 2.4million followers.
Here’s how it works.
Go to the Google Search homepage.
Tap the three line menu icon in the top left.
Next, open Settings.
Scroll down to the bit titled “Handwrite” and choose Enable.
Then go to the very bottom and hit Save.
Now you can use your finger to write out words for Google Search.
It’s not necessarily faster than usual typing but it’s a lot more fun, so why not give it a go?
Also to note, when you activate the handwriting feature, a bar appears along the bottom of your screen on Google Search.
The main button in the middle allows you to generate a space with one tap.
And next to it there’s a cross, which lets you back space.
You can hit the g icon to hide the bar away at any time.
It’s also worth pointing out that Handwrite isn’t available on iPhones and iPads in the separate Google app – that bit’s kept for Android only – but you can still use it in your browser.
