Penrith winger faces ban for Eels high shot
Penrith winger Taylan May has been charged by the NRL match review committee with a grade two careless high tackle and faces a one match ban for the hit on Eels centre Will Penisini.
May caught Penisini high in their qualifying final on Friday night with the Penrith star sent to the sin bin during the first half of the 27-8 victory.

The 21-year-old can take an early guilty plea and miss his side’s preliminary final in two weeks, or he risk being rubbed out for the grand final if he fights the charge and loses.
May left the game in the second half due to a hamstring injury and could be sidelined for several weeks anyway.
Penrith forward Spencer Leniu was also charged with a careless high tackle on Isaiah Papali’i but escaped with a fine.
