Penny Mordaunt turns heads in sword brooch for Scotland celebrations
Penny Mordaunt looked glorious today in navy as she joined the festivities in Scotland.
Today marks the National Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication to the Coronation Of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Charles received the Honours of Scotland today. The festivities will also include a People’s Procession, a Royal Procession, a 21-gun salute, and a flypast by the Red Arrows.
Penny Mordaunt stole the show at King Charles’s Coronation on May 6, 2023 in a teal dress, cape and matching hat.
She played a very important role in the service, bearing the Jewelled Sword of Offering.
For today’s festivities Penny opted for another blue dress, this time in navy.
This appeared to have a round neck but was otherwise concealed by a smart coat.
In exactly the same shade as the dress, the chic jacket was the perfect style complement.
The coat boasted structured shoulders, deeps lapels and appeared to fasten with a button at the waist.
This feature nipped the Lord President of the Privy Council in at the waist.
On one lapel Penny accessorised with an interesting silver brooch which looked to be in the shape of a sword.
The middle of the brooch boasted a huge orange stone, possibly an orange sapphire. Around it appeared to be a dainty silver wreath.
Penny also went for a pair of show-stopping diamond earrings with a blue pendant which complemented the blue theme.
Her enviable caramel-hued hair was worn down and flicked out to the sides. Her makeup had a flawless finish, and comprised dark pink lipstick, smokey eyes with a touch of orange and a sweep of blush.
Penny completed the look with a chic navy fascinator in navy blue. This had a pretty decorative feature at the top which resembled ribbons entwined. She held a navy handbag and sported navy heels.
