PBA: Justin Brownlee doing ‘fine’ ahead of Finals Game 6
MANILA, Philippines–Barangay Ginebra import Justin Brownlee appeared to be in better condition than he was 48 hours earlier as he arrived for Game 6 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals on Friday following a bout with food poisoning.
Brownlee was in good spirits as he made his way inside Smart Araneta Coliseum where he’ll try to lead Ginebra’s bid to deny TNT’s first crack at winning the title and force a deciding seventh game.
“Probably not a 100 percent but I’m doing fine,” Brownlee said.

Ginebra is pinning its hopes on Brownlee to come through after missing the second half of Wednesday’s 104-95 defeat when he could no longer continue due to his condition.
He was later sent to the hospital for treatment before being released, but did not join Ginebra practice the following day.
Without Brownlee, a weary Gin Kings squad tried to mount a comeback from nine down in the fourth, but fell short in the end to go behind 3-2 in the Finals.
It was the first time Ginebra encountered being down after Game 5 of a Finals since Brownlee debuted in the 2016 Governors’ Cup.
Game 7, if necessary, is set Sunday at the same venue.
