Paul Rudd, aka the sexiest man alive, has been named as an upcoming host on Saturday Night Live, as well as Billie Eilish.

Singer Billie, 19, will serve as both a presenter and a musical guest on the long-running US sketch show and will appear on the December 11 episode.

It will be the first time she has appeared as host on the programme, although September 2019 saw her make her debut performance.

Ant-Man actor Paul, 52, will take the reins the following weekend on December 18 and will be joined by electro-pop artist Charlie XCX, who will take to the stage with her latest hits.

The announcement comes just one week after Paul was named the sexiest man alive by People magazine, taking the title from Michael B Jordan, who won the crown last year.

‘I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I’d be picked for this, they would say, “What?”’ Paul told the publication.

‘This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me.’

Paul is famed for his youthful appearance and has appeared in a number of films, including Clueless, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and This Is 40.

As well as his film career, he has also played Mike Hannigan in Friends.

Paul has been married to wife Julie Yaeger since 2003 and they have children Jack, 17, and Darby, 12.

He said his wife was ‘stupefied’ by his new title.

‘But you know she was very sweet about it,’ he added. ‘After some giggling and shock, she said “Oh, they got it right.” And that was very sweet. She was probably not telling the truth, but what’s she going to say?’
