Paul makes honest admittance after running away from Mayweather
Jake Paul admits he feels like a “b***h” after running away from Floyd Mayweather and his entourage during a recent confrontation in Miami. The pair came face to face after a Miami Heat game last week as Paul was surrounded by a large group of Mayweather’s security.
The Problem Child, sensing a potentially sticky situation, bolted it across the street to safety as TBE approached. Speaking about the incident during a recent episode of his podcast BS w/Jake Paul, he said: “I’ve never been caught lacking and I feel like such a b***h. I am a b***h. One to five dudes let’s f***ing go. Six or more? I’m good. I’m mad p***y right now I’m not even gonna cap.”
He added: “Floyd was waiting in three different cars with three different groups of goons. We’re walking and all of a sudden out of nowhere, boom, Floyd’s right there [with] nine people in a sort of like straight wall.
“I’m like ‘this is not good at all.’ I’m outnumbered, I have one security guard, I normally have three … When I see these guys and I look in their eyes, I’m like ‘I’m out.’”
Both men have a particularly messy history stretching back to 2021 when Jake’s older brother Logan fought the boxing legend in an exhibition bout.
Ahead of the contest, Paul was punched in the face by Mayweather after stealing his hat at a pre-fight press event. More recently, last December when Mayweather fought Deji in Dubai, the 46-year-old refused to enter the ring until Paul had been ejected from the arena despite him being invited to the event as a special guest commentator for the co-main event between Tommy Fury and Rolly Lambert.
But a source close to the hall of famer told TMZ that his anger didn’t stem from the hat incident and rather some personal comments made by the YouTuber about one of his deceased family members.
“Jake crossed the line. This wasn’t about grabbing a hat. This was about Jake’s comments to Floyd about Floyd’s deceased family member and other below-the-belt inappropriate behaviour,” said the source.
This comes after Paul said in the initial aftermath: “I’m like first of all, what did I say to you Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? Come on, bro. And then 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to jump me, and I’m out that b***h, ok?”
