Partner Content | UConn vs. Gonzaga same-game parlay picks: Tease down the over for two epic offences
With a spot in the Final Four on the line, the UConn Huskies and Gonzaga Bulldogs meet tonight in the West Region final.
The pregame narrative: There are plenty of ways to tail offence in this matchup, especially when it comes to the teams’ centres, Drew Timme and Adama Sanogo. We’ve included a prop for both in our +320 same-game parlay.
Here are our best UConn vs. Gonzaga same-game parlay picks for March 25.
NCAA basketball odds as of 3:10 p.m. on 03/25/2023.
UConn vs. Gonzaga same-game parlay
Parlay: Over 149.5 points + Timme over 2.5 assists + Sanogo over 24.5 P+R+A (+320)
Over 149.5 points (-182) : We already like this game to clear its standard point total (153), as we noted in our game picks. Teasing the line down a few points only emboldens our belief in these hyper-efficient offences.
Together, Gonzaga and UConn combine to average 165.7 points per game. They rank first and third, respectively, in KenPom’s adjusted offensive efficiency metric. Both squads rank inside the NCAA’s top 30 in effective field goal percentage, too.
Both teams have cleared this line in all three of their March Madness games so far. Gonzaga has had 150-plus total points in 11 of its last 12 games overall.
Also, UConn and Gonzaga have combined to hit the over in 57.7% of their games this season (41 of 71).
Other parlay legs
Timme over 2.5 assists (-150) : Gonzaga’s all-time leading scorer is coming off a 36-point night, so backing him to be a facilitator might feel like a weird move.
But this is a very low line for the moustachioed centre, who’s averaging 3.2 assists per game and has cleared this line in five of his past six matchups (including all three in March Madness).
Timme is likely to be doubled throughout this matchup as UConn aims to cool him down offensively. That should allow the big man to kick to an open teammate and collect at least a few assists in the process.
Sanogo over 24.5 P+R+A (-127) : Much like Timme at Gonzaga, Sanogo is the centre of UConn’s offence from the centre position.
The 6-foot-9 bruiser has averaged 26.0 PRA this season, and his tourney production has been mesmerizingly good. He’s averaging 33.3 PRA in those matchups, and he’s cleared this line in four straight games overall.
Battles down low between Timme and Sanogo will surely affect tonight’s outcome. Both veteran bigs should be able to answer the call.
