Partner Content | NHL parlay picks March 8: Bet on Red Wings to beat Blackhawks
There are three NHL games on Wednesday and we’re taking a pick from each one to put together a three-leg parlay.
The pregame narrative: The Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets are the best under teams in the league, making that wager a no-brainer. Both the Anaheim Ducks and Vancouver Canucks aren’t allowing many goals, giving us another under to target. Lastly, we’re picking the Detroit Red Wings to beat the Chicago Blackhawks.
Check out our NHL parlay picks for March 8.

NHL parlay picks
Parlay: Wild vs. Jets under 5.5 goals + Ducks vs. Canucks under 6.5 goals + Red Wings moneyline (+463)
Wild vs. Jets under 5.5 goals (-104) : We’re not missing the opportunity to take this wager in a game with the best two under teams in the business.
No team goes below the game total more than the Jets. Their 67.2% under percentage is tops in the NHL, making them the only squad above 65% in the category.
Head coach Rick Bowness’ affinity for playing tight-checking hockey and Connor Hellebuyck’s stellar play in net are big reasons for the high volume of low-scoring games.
Right behind them on the list, however, are the Wild at No. 2. They’ve fallen short of their game total in 62.5% of their contests.
Minnesota unders are actually one of the hottest bets in the league currently, as the team has gone below this number in eight consecutive games and 12 of 13.
Other parlay legs
Ducks vs. Canucks under 6.5 goals (+100) : For most of the year, bettors could rely on both of these teams to play in high-scoring games thanks to poor goaltending and defensive play.
That hasn’t been the case lately, though.
The return of Thatcher Demko is providing Vancouver with some stability between the pipes. Demko owns a .937 save percentage in three games since coming back from injury, allowing just seven goals.
The Canucks have gone under this total in four of their last six.
Anaheim, meanwhile, is getting solid play in net. The team ranks a respectable 15th in save percentage (.898) across the last seven days, according to Natural Stat Trick.
The Ducks gave fallen short of this number in five of their last six.
Red Wings moneyline (-235) : Detroit’s playing itself out of playoff contention, but we’re confident the team can squeak out a win at home against lowly Chicago.
A big reason for Detroit’s recent struggles is the fact that it played four of its previous five on the road. The Red Wings lost all games they played away from Little Caesars Arena during this stretch, dropping their away record to a brutal 13-14-5 on the season.
They return home Wednesday night to face one of the worst teams in the NHL. The Red Wings are a more respectable 15-12-4 in their own building, winning four of their last seven at the Pizza Box.
