The pregame narrative: George Springer is seeing the ball well and is a nice wager to top his total bases prop. Kyle Schwarber’s season-long numbers aren’t pretty, but he’s turning them around thanks to a relatively strong month of June. Thirdly, Nick Castellanos is walking into a plus matchup.

MLB parlay picks
Parlay: Springer over 1.5 total bases + Schwarber over 0.5 hits + Castellanos over 0.5 hits (+361)
Springer over 1.5 total bases (+128) : Springer has been raking in June and it’s all but erased what was a quiet start to his 2023 campaign.
Slashing a surprisingly low .255/.325/.387 through May, the Toronto Blue Jays outfielder boasts better numbers across the board thanks to a .297/.351/.475 slash line this month.
Looking even more recently, Springer has 16 hits across his last 11 games while surpassing this line in four of his last five.
He’s also facing a pitcher he’s fairly familiar with in Boston Red Sox starter James Paxton. In 37 at-bats against the lefty, he has nine hits including a double and three home runs, per Swish Analytics.
Paxton only lasted four innings his last time out due to knee soreness.
Other parlay picks
Schwarber over 0.5 hits (-195) : It’s never a good thing when the player’s betting line to get a hit (-195) is higher than his batting average (.186), but let us explain why he’s on our ticket.
Schwarber is slowly turning things around. The Philadelphia Phillies outfielder is slashing .230/.342/.530 this month thanks to four doubles, a triple and eight home runs.
Against his ex-team, the Washington Nationals, he’s a good choice to earn a knock. The Nats are sending Josiah Gray to the hill and Schwarber has five hits, including a double and three home runs, in 13 at-bats versus the righty.
Gray isn’t finding much success this month, pairing a 4.88 ERA with a 5.44 FIP.
Castellanos over 0.5 hits (-295) : We’re also looking for Schwarber’s teammate, Castellanos, to deliver a hit.
Unlike Schwarber, Castellanos is one of the best contact hitters in baseball. His .309 average is tied for seventh in the majors and he’s batting .355 in June.
Like Schwarber, he has had plenty of success versus Gray. Castellanos has four hits, including three home runs, in 11 career at-bats.
Castellanos has a hit in 19 of 23 games this month.
