Partner Content | Lightning vs. Maple Leafs same-game parlay picks, Game 5: Bet on Killorn and the over

The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first elimination game of this series.

The pregame narrative: Tampa Bay’s season is on the line and we’re expecting the squad to play accordingly. Alex Killorn has been a steady stream of offensive production, and he should be a factor once again. Lastly, we’re taking the over on a teased-down total.

Check out our best Lightning vs. Maple Leafs same-game parlay picks for April 27.

Lightning vs. Maple Leafs same-game parlay picks

Parlay: Lightning +1.5 + Killorn to score a point + Over 5.5 goals (+240)

Lightning +1.5 (-205) : Tampa Bay let Games 3 and 4 slip away, but expecting anything less than an all-out performance from the three-time running Eastern Conference champs is foolish.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Lightning play well, either, considering they’ve arguably been the better team in Games 1, 3 and 4. They held third-period leads in each of the latter two before losing both in overtime.

The Bolts have the edge in scoring chances this series, outperforming Toronto 125-93 in the category, according to Natural Stat Trick. They were also 2-0 in elimination games versus the Maple Leafs last year, giving us some sort of precedent.

Tampa Bay has covered this number in three of four games during the postseason.

Other parlay picks

Killorn to score a point (-134) : It may be a little surprising to learn but Killorn’s two-goal outing snapped a 29-game postseason goalless drought.

The last time the Lightning winger scored a playoff goal was in the 2021 Eastern Conference final versus the New York Islanders. The reason why this is shocking is because Killorn’s a productive player for Tampa Bay.

He has a point in 10 of his last 13 games for the Bolts, including at least one in three of four contests during this series.

His six goals over the team’s last 10 outings are tied for first on the Bolts and only Nikita Kucherov (14) and Brayden Point (13) have more points than his 11 during this stretch.

Over 5.5 goals (-180) : If there’s one thing each game of this series has delivered, it’s a lot of goals.

The over on a 6.5-goal total has cashed in all four contests, giving us some leeway with this 5.5-goal total.

In fact, the over on this total has come through in 11 of 14 meetings between these two squads dating back to last year’s playoffs.

Neither goaltender has shown they can deliver, either. Ilya Samsonov owns an unimpressive .876 save percentage while Andrei Vasilevskiy’s .856 mark is 19th among all netminders this postseason.
