Partner Content | 76ers vs. Nuggets prop bets and odds: MVP contenders Jokic and Embiid clash in Denver

The two NBA MVP frontrunners — Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic — headline tonight’s showdown between the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets.

The pregame narrative: Embiid has become the favourite to win the MVP but we’re fading him on the glass in what should be a tough matchup. Meanwhile, Jamal Murray has been on fire lately and the Canadian is poised for another big night.

Check out our 76ers vs. Nuggets prop bets for March 27.

76ers vs. Nuggets prop bets

Best Bet : Embiid under 11.5 rebounds (-129)

This play has a little more juice than we would like but it’s well worth it.

Embiid has fallen under this line in 10 of his past 13 games, including each of his past three. The big man is averaging 9.3 boards per game in March, which is more than one rebound fewer than what he was averaging prior to that (10.4).

Either way, this line asks a little too much of Embiid, especially considering his opponent.

The Nuggets own the second-best home rebounding rate in the NBA (54.4%) and hold opponents to the fewest rebounds per game (47.7). They also allow the fifth-fewest rebounds per game to opposing centres, per Fantasy Pros.

Embiid did rack up a ludicrous 18 rebounds against Denver earlier this season but that game was in Philadelphia. The Nuggets have some Jekyll and Hyde-level home/road splits so we’re going to assume they put together a better performance on the glass tonight.

Key stat: Embiid has fallen under this total in 43 of 61 games this season (70.4%).

Quick picks

Murray over 6.5 assists (+108) : Murray’s been running hot in the assist department lately. He’s cleared this line in five of his past six games, including each of his last three.

The Canadian is averaging 7.2 assists in 15 games since the all-star break, which is a solid uptick from his 5.8 mark in the 45 games prior.

Murray over 29.5 PRA (-125) : Let’s double-dip on Murray’s production by backing his PRA line.

This is a number that he’s cleared in five straight games, averaging a total of 22.4 points, 8.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds in that span.

Murray had 32 PRA against Philadelphia earlier this season and is averaging 30.4 PRA on the season.
