Parking spot in heart of London could be yours for £60k – but there’s a catch
A PARKING spot in London has been made available for £60k – but there’s a catch.
The space is located in a great spot within the heart of the capital, in Kingston House South, Knightsbridge.
It was listed on property site Rightmove by estate agents Gordon Lindsay Associates.
But while the parking spot is very decently priced considering its location, potential owners might face a snag.
Unfortunately, a large chunk of parking space for your motor is taken up by a huge concrete bollard,
Prospective buyers with a large vehicle will likely have to pass on putting in a bid despite the excellent price.
According to the listing, the space was reduced in price on May 30, suggesting Gordan Lindsay are looking to find a buyer.
And judging by the massive bollard it is not hard to see why this parking spot did not sell on its first listing.
The Rightmove listing states: “A leasehold parking space in Kingston House South, Ennismore Gardens. Lease 150 years from 25 March 1990.”
It also outlines that there is a service charge for the year 2021 / 2022 which will come to £218.74.
The parking space has excellent transport links nearby if you need to hope on the train.
It is less than a mile from South Kensington, Knightsbridge and Gloucester Road stations.
Recently, a motorist was furious after being slapped with a £60 fine by a parking firm who sold them a space that didn’t exist.
Meanwhile drivers have been left stunned after finding out that seaside car parks are charging up to £35 for just eight hours this bank holiday.
