Parking space near Harrods on sale for £85k – but there’s a catch
A PARKING space near Harrods has hit the market for a whopping £85,000 – but there’s a catch.
The single car space in Knightsbridge, London, is tiny and doesn’t even meet the British average for parking bay requirements.
This little problem could cause a big headache for its new owner if they aren’t a skilled driver.
The awkward spot is pictured sandwiched between two other spaces which look equally as painful to maneuverer into.
Images show the current owner’s attempts to safeguard their car from scratches and dents with a foam buffer attached to the wall.
At only 2m wide by 5.5m long, the width is well below the standard car park space in the UK which is 2.4m wide by 4.8 long.
The vacant lot sits inside a parking garage between Rutland Gate and Ennismore Mews.
Perspective buyers will need to check their car can fit before making the purchase.
Once you know the car fits, any attempting to squeeze into this spot will require extreme care.
According to RightMove, key features include CCTV and automated security gate, 960 year lease and Fob entry.
The website states: “With two automated gates operated by fobs, and CCTV the garage is considered to be very secure.
“It also benefits from access to water.”
The starting price is £85,000 and boasts close access to train stations in Knightsbridge, South Kensington Station and Gloucester Station.
