Paige Spiranac sets record straight on Rickie Fowler ‘boob’ tweet after scorching US Open start

Sorry, Twitter, you’ve got the wrong Paige Spiranac.

The longtime golf influencer, 30, set the record straight on Thursday regarding a viral meme that’s been floating around which suggested she’d “do a boob reveal when Rickie Fowler wins a Major.”

“A meme account posted a fake tweet awhile ago and now people are blowing up my DMs!” Spiranac exclaimed to her nearly 900,000 followers.

“This is not true so don’t get your hopes up. But I did pick Rickie as a long shot so at least I have that going for me lol.”

Fowler, who is currently ranked 45th in the world, shot his way into the U.S. Open record books by carding a 62 for an 8-under — the lowest round in the tournament’s history — during Thursday’s opening round at the Los Angeles Country Club.

The California native, 34, held the record solo for roughly 20 minutes before Xander Schauffele, the world’s No. 6, matched the impressive feat.

“Monkey see, monkey do,’’ Schauffele said with a smile. “[I] was just chasing Rickie up the leaderboard. Glad he was just in front of me.’”

Fowler, chasing his first major win, will tee off Friday at 1:32 p.m. PST.

He has placed within the top three in all four major championships, including a second-place finish at the 2018 Masters.

He finished second at the U.S. Open back in 2014.

Fowler, who has struggled in recent years, looked back on the journey Thursday, which he described as “long and tough.”

“A lot longer being in that situation than you’d ever want to. But it makes it so worth it having gone through that and being back where we are now,” the PGA Tour pro said.

“I would say we’re starting to get maybe as close as we’ve ever been to where I was through kind of that ’14, ’15 area. This week off to a good start, but there’s still plenty of golf to be played. It’s going to be tough [Friday] afternoon, but at least got out of the gate and we’re off to a good start.”
