Packers’ Quay Walker ejected after shoving Bills player in fourth-straight loss

Green Bay’s woeful night in Buffalo wasn’t without some fireworks.

During the second quarter of Sunday’s game, Packers rookie linebacker Quay Walker shoved Bills’ practice squad player Zach Davidson on the sideline following a play, with the incident drawing a 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct and resulting in his ejection.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur addressed the scuffle following Green Bay’s 27-17 loss, stating he has “zero tolerance” for such incidents.

“I told him on the field, ‘It’s always the second guy, and you’ve got to keep your poise,’” LaFleur said of Walker, who was the No. 22 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

“That’s something we talk about, we stress all the time, we show clips of guys around the league losing their mind, and it’s an unfortunate lesson that he’s got to learn. And I hope it’s a reminder for everyone on our football team. That’s the kind of stuff I have zero tolerance for. Mistakes are gonna happen, but losing your cool, losing your poise, putting your team in jeopardy, I’ve got no tolerance for that.”

The Packers dropped to 3-5 on the season following their fourth straight loss on Sunday.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has been openly critical of his teammates, spoke postgame about how the team could turn their season around.

“We’ve got to find a way to get one win. I feel like if we can just get one, then the whole momentum changes,” he said.
