‘Our dream £3,000 family holiday was filthy and everything was shut’

British mum, Laura Forrest, 39, booked a 10 day trip to Turkey for herself, her partner, Gary Juggins, and children Toby and Finn.

The mum booked the trip in April at the Aria Claros resort in Turkey and was looking forward to a relaxing break.

Laura said they booked the trip through provider Love Holidays but claimed the family was given just one double bed for the four of them when they arrived.

But things were about to get worse. The mum soon realised the all-inclusive resort was far from what she expected.

Despite the resort having six restaurants and activities such as mini-golf and watersports, the family claimed none of it was available to guests.

Laura claimed just one bar at the resort was open to customers and the family recorded a video of it to pass the time.

Alongside photos of the resort’s less than appealing facilities, the family sang Tiffany’s 1987 hit ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’. The footage showed the beach deserted.

Laura posted on social media: “Posting this as no job with a refund, total holiday nightmare, made this video because we had nothing to do.

“We paid over £3,000, advertising an all inclusive water park, six restaurants, mini golf, water sports, entertainment, false advertising.

“When we arrived we were told nothing opened for another month, then Love Holiday changed their website the day after we complained to state this hotel was seasonal, absolutely disgusting.”

Laura said the boys were “bored beyond belief” and said she had emailed Love Holidays and been offered just £50 which she declined as an “insult”.

A Love Holidays spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “We’re sorry to hear that Ms Forrest and Mr Juggins’ holiday did not live up to expectations.

“We recognise their experience fell short of our usual high standards and will therefore be providing them with a full refund for the value of the hotel while also fully investigating the issues raised with the accommodation provider.

“We always endeavour to ensure the content on our website is up to date but will also be reviewing our processes with our accommodation providers to avoid instances like this happening again.”
