Oti Mabuse hits back after bodyshamers critique ‘boobs and curves’
Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has revealed she has become more body-conscious since leaving the show last year.
The 32- year old, who left her birthplace South Africa at the age of 16, rose to fame in Britain on the BBC dance show.
Meanwhile her sister Motsi Mabuse, 42, is currently a judge on Strictly after replacing Dame Darcey Bussell in 2019
Oti was reportedly daunted about the prospect of turning away from the hit show after seven years – which she joined back in 2015 and won twice.
“I’ve been under this incredible umbrella for seven years, where people know on Saturday night you bring them joy, and you make them smile,” she mused.

Oti placed blame on the showbiz industry that rewards females for being slim, adding:”If that’s the trend, should I be following the trend?
She also said: “I’m never going to be size zero. I think I was relatable for a lot of women because all the girls [on Strictly] are really petite.
“Only when I didn’t dance anymore and you could see me sit and you’d be like, ‘Oh she’s got boobs. Oh she’s curvy.’”
Now a woman in her 30’s, Oti’s body has changed since being on the show in her 20’s – and she has admitted she doesn’t let the pressure to look a certain way affect her.
Since her Strictly departure, she has swapped her ballroom shoes for skates and became a judge on the popular ITV show Dancing On Ice.
Whilst speaking on This Morning, Oti did admit she loved her time on the show and would be happy to make a comeback.
