OPSC AAO Recruitment 2022: Apply online for 123 Assistant Agricultural Officer Post – Times of India

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official website – https://www.opsc.gov.in/ – from January 28, 2022.

Only those candidates, who possess the requisite qualifications, are within the prescribed age limit and fulfill other eligibility conditions etc. by closing date for submission of registered online application form, will be considered eligible.

The written examination for the post of Assistant Agriculture Officers will be held at Cuttack.

Out of the total 123 (42-w) vacancies, 04 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen, 05 (02-w) post are reserved for persons with disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) having Locomotors Disabilities i.e. OL (MNR) or Cerebral Palsy & 01 (one) post is reserved for Sports Person.

OPSC AAO Recruitment 2022: Age Limit (as on January 1, 2021)

The candidate must have been born not earlier than January 2, 1983 and not later than January 1, 2000.

The upper age limit prescribed above shall be relaxable up to five year for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Women & Ex-Servicemen and 10 (ten) year for candidates belonging to PWD category, whose permanent disability is 40% and more.

PWD candidates belonging to SEBC, SC and ST categories are eligible for cumulative age relaxation benefit of 15 years.


OPSC AAO Recruitment 2022: Examination Fees

The candidates are required to make online payment of applicable Examination Fees through OPSC portal using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking facilities and other financial instruments enlisted in the Payment Page/ Gateway of the Odisha Government Treasury Portal.

Candidates should note that the fee once paid neither be refunded under any circumstances nor can be adjusted of held in reserve for any other examination or recruitment.

OPSC AAO Recruitment 2022: Method of selection


The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Agriculture officer shall be made on the basis of written test and interview.

Written Test: It shall consist of two pares of objective types (MCQ) and each paper shall be of two hours duration carrying 100 marks each.

There shall be negative marking for wrong answers with a deduction of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Interview shall consists of 25 marks.

The commission shall short-list the candidates to be called for interview to reasonable number taking into consideration the marks secured in the written test.
