OnePlus Nord 2 5G Phone: OnePlus Nord 2 5G user claims his phone exploded – Times of India

A Twitter user has claimed that a OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone exploded inside the users’ trouser pockets. The tweet further claims that the blast caused injury to his thigh. The user shared photos of the injury along with the OnePlus Nord 2 smartphone which appears to have been completely burnt. The Times of India–GadgetsNow has reached out to OnePlus India for an official statement regarding the incident and the same will be added to this article when received.
The user who goes by the name Suhit Sharma, tweeted, “Never expected this from you #OnePlusNord2Blast see what your product have done. Please be prepared for the consequences. Stop playing with peoples life. Because of you that boy is suffering contact asap.”

He further added in another tweet, “OnePlus is in constant touch with us and R&D team is working on the case we are Co-operating with them to get this resolved asap.”
Talking about the phone,the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset and comes with three RAM and storage options– 6GB+128GB; 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. There’s a 6.43-inch AMOLED punch hole display with a selfie camera on the top left corner. The display panel supports 90Hz refresh rate and comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and Full HD+ resolution.
As far as the camera is concerned, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G features a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor along with 8MP and 2MP secondary sensors. It comes with an-display fingerprint sensor and a selfie camera of 32MP sensor. The device will run OxygenOS 11.3 interface based on Android 11 operating system. The device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with WarpCharge 65 fast charging tech.
