‘OMG’: Kyrgios’ new girlfriend likes what she sees during Australian Open win
Nick Kyrgios’ new girlfriend was as entertained as the rest of us as she watched the Aussie tennis star put on a show from prime position.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios’ new girlfriend was proudly sitting courtside at his first win at the Australian Open.
And the world No. 115 put on quite the show.
Up against world No. 128 Brit Liam Broady, he brought out all his tricks to claim a 6-4 6-4 6-3 first round drubbing.
It included hyping the crowd, which he called a “zoo”, by pulling out some great banter, dance moves and two tweeners.
Kyrgios and Costeen Hatzi have been by each other’s sides at the tournament, after making their relationship “Instagram official” last month.
Kyrgios posted a photo with Hatzi, captioning it: “I’m blessed. This is to the New year & a chance for all of us to get it right.”
Kyrgios and Hatzi have been very public on social media since that moment, with the tennis star dedicating an Instagram Stories highlight to her.
They’ve also been snapped showing some public displays of affection as Kyrgios practised ahead of the year’s first grand slam.
Hatzi stood and applauded from the player’s box as Kyrgios dismantled Broady at John Cain Arena, and also shared pictures of him during the match on social media.
In an on-court interview after his win, Kyrgios called out his girlfriend for isolating with him after his Covid positive result last week.
Hatzi was also by her boyfriend’s side as he did a press conference after his match on Tuesday night.
Kyrgios made sure to repost a picture of his new partner courtside, stating “omg” followed by emojis with love-hearted eyes.
Kyrgios and his on-again, off-again former partner Chiara Passari had been dating for 18 around months until they split last year after arguing in an Adelaide hotel room in October.
After returning from overseas, Kyrgios and Passari were put in separate rooms at their quarantine hotel when South Australia police were alerted to a verbal argument between two occupants.
It came after Passari shared an image of Kyrgios in bed with a “naked girl” on Instagram and accused him of cheating on her.
They had started dating mid-2020, three months after Kyrgios split from Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya.
Passari told The Daily Telegraph last month that Kyrgios was “manipulative”, and had “love-bombed” her and then gaslighted her.
