Olivia Wilde has accused her ex-partner Jason Sudeikis of trying to put her ‘into debt’ with the custody battle.

Don’t Worry Darling director Wilde, 39, and Ted Lasso star Sudeikis, 47, appeared in court on Friday (March 24) as part of a custody battle over their two children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, six.

Wilde has claimed that Sudeikis is trying to ‘litigate her into debt’ as part of the case.

In new court documents, obtained by The Daily Mail, her lawyers said: ‘While Jason can afford to spin his wheels with filing after filing, Olivia cannot.’

‘Jason seems intent on throwing whatever he can against the wall to see what will stick, and this Request for Order seeking a stay of the California Parentage action is just the latest example.’

In the documents, Wilde also accused the actor of acting ‘in bad faith’ over the future of their kids.

Sudeikis had requested the case move to New York, with Wilde arguing the hearing should instead be in Los Angeles and the matter had already been settled.

A judge agreed with Wilde and ruled the case should remain in California.

It comes as Sudeikis filed a new motion to halt a California order which ruled that their children should continue to live in California, giving him time to file an appeal in New York.

Wilde said the children are already living in California and that there is no reason for them to move.

‘We were scheduled to start working with a family therapist in California in mid-January. I thought things were calming down and were going to move forward in a more amicable, respectful fashion,’ Wilde said in the documents.

The pair first met in 2011 and began dating, eventually getting engaged in 2013 and then welcoming their first child, Otis, the following year.

In 2020 the couple confirmed they had separated, with Sudeikis coming under fire after Wilde – who dated Harry Styles – was served custody papers at CinemaCon in April in front of 4,100 film industry executives during a presentation.

It was later said that the AppleTV+ star did not know his ex would be served the papers while on stage.
